POSITIVE THINKING
Saw the doctor today, and he's still a bit positive. Although I now have cancer in various bones,he's got a new chemo therapy that he's starting on Thursday. Plus I might get radiation. The end will still be the same, but he thinks he can control both the pain and maybe the tumors, for a while. Let's hope so!

I've been a silent admirer of your writings but feel it's time to let you know. I've been following your ramblings since it's inception. I have to tell you that, as you know, I've been "tested", so to speak, but nothing like you. You are amazingly strong in spirit. Keep it that way. Just know that I'm hiding out here, quietly thinking about you and offering you the strenghth that comes from knowing you are deeply cared for.

I am so sorry about the recent medical reports. You guys are good fighters and good at the long haul. It makes sense to concentrate your energy, although we all will miss you in and around the classroom. Even if you are not teaching in the fall, we still expect you to come around for cheapo lunch. OK?
I know you are a big time movie viewer, so you have probably seen "Prime," starring Meryl Streep. If not, it is hilarious.
